The purpose of the Kappa Delta Chi National Foundation is to financially support programs that exclusively support educational and leadership purposes for minority women. The Foundation was created in 2000 by Founder, Irene Montoya and the National Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Undergraduate and Graduate/Alumnae chapters of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. hold annual fundraising events that fund the majority of the projects that the National Foundation sponsors. The National Foundation receives, manages, and distributes scholarship and grants for the purpose of funding educational and leadership development programs for the communities we support.

Since its beginning, the Kappa Delta Chi National Foundation Scholarship Fund has given over $45,000 in education awards. In 2004, The National Foundation added the Irene Montoya Scholarships to include members pursuing their undergraduate and graduate careers.

The National Foundation is supported by tax-deductible charitable gifts from loyal members, corporations, and friends of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc.

The Kappa Delta Chi Educational Foundation for Women is dedicated to the professional advancement of women in all sectors of the workforce. The Continuing Education Scholarship was created to support women interested in professional development opportunities that may aid them in job advancement opportunities. The foundation recognizes that there is a need for female representation in today’s workforce. This scholarship seeks to encourage women to pursue their vision and goals in the hopes of supporting a diverse work environment.
